1. What will the graduation requirements be?
English: 8 credits
Mathematics: 6 credits
Science: 6 credits
Social Studies: 6 credits
Physical Education: 4 credits
Electives: 15 credits
Total Required Credits = 30
Total Elective Credits = 15
Total Credits Required for Graduation = 45
2. Is there open campus at G-H?
There is no open-campus allowed at Garner-Hayfield.
3. What courses are available to students?

4. Can student's take online college classes?
Yes, PSEO classes can be taken if a student has exhausted the curriculum. It is rare that a past GH student has taken a PSEO class for this reason.
Garner-Hayfield does not offer online PSEO college
classes BUT does offer a number of college credit courses at Garner or thru NIACC Academies.
5. What is the course load requirement for students at GH?
A. A minimum load schedule for a student who is not taking any music courses would be seven (7) academic class periods scheduled daily plus physical education.
B. A minimum load schedule for a student who is taking either band or vocal music would be an additional six- (6) academic class period’s scheduled daily plus physical education.
C. A minimum load schedule for a student who is taking both band and vocal music would be an additional five-(5) academic class periods scheduled daily plus physical education.Note: G-H operates a 9 period schedule. Students can take one study hall to fill their schedule
6. What is going to happen with Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Class Rank and GPA?
These will be kept separate for 10-12th grades thru their respective graduation. 9th grade student records will be combined with Garner-Hayfield
7. When will course registration occur?
It is anticipated that the school counselors from both districts will work together with Ventura students the first few weeks of March.
